The ZLINE 28 in. DuraMount™ Wall Mount Range Hood Insert in Stainless Steel (683-28) combines powerful ventilation with a patented mounting design that brings attainable luxury to any custom kitchen layout. Featuring reinforced triangle supports with staggered, overlapping mounting points, DuraMount™ is purposefully designed to hit studs in standard 16-inch spacing, ensuring a stud-stabilized fit every time—without additional bracing—that delivers precision-engineered alignment and professional performance designed for real homes.

This product contains many unique features such as:

• Patented Mounting Design - Mounting screws are leveled first, then the insert hangs directly onto pre-set keyholes, reducing the need for heavy lifting and enabling a straightforward installation process
• Multi-Point Flexibility - Designed for a 30-inch custom hood, a multi-point perimeter keyhole pattern offers numerous options, making it easy to fasten to studs or anchors without complex modifications or additional bracing
• Two Decades of Trusted Power - Built on 20 years of ZLINE engineering expertise, the 683-28 DuraMount™ insert features a high-velocity motor backed by the industry’s first-ever lifetime motor warranty guarantee, bringing a new level of proven performance to custom kitchen ventilation
• Full-Frame Support - A rigid, folded-steel DuraMount™ frame distributes weight across a broad footprint, creating a strong foundation for wood, plaster, or metal custom shells
• Remodel-Ready Fit - Manufactured to align with standard 16 in. on-center framing and irregular wall structures, ensuring dependable installs even in remodels or tight retrofit conditions
• Anchor-Friendly Installation - When studs aren’t available, the DuraMount™ system supports secure installation using included anchors or the multi-track side plate for confident off-center mounting
• Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel - Manufactured with brushed 430-grade stainless steel, which contains rust- and corrosion-resistant properties to ensure a durable insert that will last for years to come
• Convenient Control Panel - Easy-to-use push-button controls let you easily adjust fan speeds and lighting options
• Powerful Ventilation - The highest speed setting of 500 CFM airflow efficiently moves large amounts of air away from your cooking area
• Minimal Cleaning - This range hood insert includes dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters that are simple to clean
• Adjustable LED Lighting - This range hood insert comes equipped with 2 energy-efficient adjustable LED lights to illuminate the cooking surface below
• Standard Ducting - ZLINE hood inserts are designed to fit standard (circular) ductwork for simple installation; this hood includes a transition piece for 6 in. diameter ducting
• External Damper Required - The included transition piece does not come with a damper; installers must ensure a proper external damper is installed at the exit point of ducting
• Electrical Requirements - Requires a dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15-amp circuit with a NEMA 5-15 3-wire plug system
• Manufacturer Warranty - 3-year parts-only warranty for the range hood, along with a lifetime warranty for the motor
