This matching pair of 16-inch high stools is an exceptional find from the Bamileke people of the Cameroon Grassfields. Traditionally, these stools served as prestigious seats for royalty and high-ranking dignitaries during court ceremonies. The lattice-work design is a hallmark of Bamileke craftsmanship, representing the interconnectedness of the community and the strength of the tribal lineage. Each African stool is meticulously hand-carved from a single, solid block of indigenous hardwood. The openwork "lattice" or "checkerboard" motif is chiseled with remarkable precision, creating a rhythmic geometric pattern that allows light to pass through the body of the stool. The wood is finished in a deep, charcoal-toned ebony patina. The thick, circular tops and bases provide a heavy, grounded counterpoint to the airy, architectural carving of the central cylinders.
Sold as a set of two, these stools offer incredible versatility for high-end interior design. We offer FREE shipping on all orders. There are 2 methods used for shipment and delivery which are delivered curb-side:
1. FOR MOST RANGE HOODS, SINKS, FAUCETS AND ACCESSORY PRODUCTS - FedEx Ground is used for delivery. FedEx will deliver the product and leave outside of premise only with out calling to arrange delivery.
2. FOR RANGES, COOKTOP, DROP-INS, DISHWASHERS AND REFRIGERATORS - FedEx Freight is used for delivery. FedEx will call to arrange a specific delivery time and you will have to arrange to be at the ship to address to accept the product. FedEx will not deliver the product in the premise.
We do not ship to PO Boxes.
Fedex Freight delivers the product curb-side only and arrangements to move the product inside the premise will have to be made by the customer.
Full insurance is included in all shipments.
Tracking number(s) will be provided by the email supplied 1-2 business days* after the date of the order is placed and after which:
- Items shipped FedEx Ground will take 2-4 business days* after processing date.
- Items shipped FedEx Freight will take 3-5 business days* after processing date
